The QCH system consists of 2 series: The PM series is suitable for universal machining
up to 55 HRC while the HMX series is for machining hardened steels from 50 to 68 HRC. Both series consist of corner, ball nose and torus cutters from 12 to 32 mm. The matching solid carbide shafts are available in cylindrical and conical shanks. The short cylindrical shank is also available as a steel version. This less expensive variant can be used for machines with low performance requirements.
The specially developed interface between the milling head and the shank ensures optimum concentricity. This results in the best possible surfaces, low wear and high precision. Due to this precisely ground interface, the milling cutter is always of the same length, This allows for greater repeatability with no requirement re-measure tool length. The quick tool change brings additional time savings by using the patented thread you simply screw in the exchangeable head.
By re-using the shank, the user has significant cost savings compared to ordinary solid carbide cutters from the 4th tool onward. In the future, the portfolio will also be expanded for processing other materials, such as aluminum.
